There are six (6) categories of membership in our Association: Full, Associate, Honorary, Life and Corporate.

Full Membership is available to individuals who are employed by any level of Government and who are engaged in the administration or enforcement of legislation respecting property standards and are permitted to use the designation 'C.P.S.O.' provided the Member has complied with the educational requirements

Associate Membership is available to individuals who are employed, interested or engaged in the administration or enforcement of legislation respecting property and are permitted use of the designation 'C.P.S.O.(A)' provided the Member has complied with the educational requirements.

Honorary Membership may be granted, by the Board, as ratified by Membership to an individual, in appreciation, for outstanding service to the Association.

Life Membership may be granted, by the Board, as ratified by Membership, to a Member who has rendered outstanding service to the Association.

Corporate Membership is available to employees of municipal corporations, members of bona-fide active corporations carrying on business under the Canada Business Corporations Act or the Business Corporations Act (Ontario); and members of unincorporated associations approved by the Board.

Venerable Membership  is available to any Full or Corporate member who has retired from employment as a Property Standards Officer and made written application and paid the required fees.  A venerable member has all the rights and privileges of a full member and is permitted use of their achieved designation.
